A few years ago, a friend of persuaded me to try auctioning off original artwork on ebay. He was sure that this was the way to go, better than doing the standard commissions. This is the piece I came up with. We put it up for auction and....disaster. It sold, but at maybe half the price I would have expected if it had been a traditional commission. So, my first and last experiment with eBay.
I like the drawing though. It's pretty simple, no great feat of artistry, but it has for me a nostalgic quality, something of the feel of the early Spider-Man drawn by Steve Ditko and John Romita.
