This catalog features a selection of works from the recent exhibition of Plunkett's art at the Southwest Ohio History Center in Athens, Ohio.

The History Center mounted the exhibition because, over the past 35 years, Plunkett has—perhaps unintentionally—created a visual chronicle of the region. His work captures the many nonprofits, small businesses, local bands, and political scandals that have shaped and passed through this corner of the Appalachian foothills.

Each image is accompanied by anecdotes and commentary that reveal the story behind the commission, offering insight into both the artwork and the community it reflects.
